Our pool guy told us that the water when you open it in the spring will not be near as clean and easy to get up and running. Currently with the standard cover the pool water is crystal clear and go to go in two days.

Got it working, appears to have been a bubble. Thanks for the tips with the gasket; filling pump and vaccum hose. Have a god weekend.

I have a 16 x 32 inground pool with a self-priming pump. This morning I cleaned out the basket in the pump and replaced the cover as per usual and turned on the pump. The pump will not self-prime/fillup with water and run. I noticed one of the outlets in the pool on the pump end had bubbles coming to the surface. Does this mean there is a air bubble in one of the lines or something else like I need to replace the pump?
