  1. It is probably a line for a vacuum. You can make it pressure or suction depending on the cleaner you choose. Most builders will install a line but not connect it til the homeowner purchases a cleaner. Do you have a return (jet) in the center of one of the long walls that doesn't do anything? If your answer is yes, then that is the line connected to the pipe to nowhere.
  2. The only other suggestion I have is to remove the treads (while inside the pool) and then you should be able to twist the rails out. Is this a salt pool?
  3. I have been battling green cloudy water in my inground swimming pool for most of the summer. I have 20,000 gallons. My test at the pool store always indicates that my levels are good. Total Alkalinity 100, pH 7.4, Calcium Hardness 180. Stabilizer 50 and Free chlorine 3.0. I cannot get my pool clear. I have shocked with as much as 6 lbs of shock at one time. Any suggestions
