  1. Dont waste your time on the blower they are noisy and they cool down the tun water quickly. I have never found the offer much therapy over a regular jet mixed with air. Now a J-365 seems to be one of the most popular tubs. I tetsed a bunch a Jacuzzi tubs when I was looking at new lines & the 365 was most comfortable. The 880 series is not comparableto the 400 series except for the Maxxus. The 300 & 880 series have always been the comparable series until Jacuzzi decided to come out with the 400's. The 365 is a far better tub in layout compared to the Majesta IMO.

  2. Wow were you in my head when you wrote this? I experienced everything word for word when I sold Cal. I will say There were minimal issues with the classic series tubs & would still recommend them but everything else not a chance. It was the worst though when you would have to deal with 10 different people on the same issue in a week because they had quit or been replaced.

  3. There's nothing of real excitement about this. Its simply a total numbers game to eliminate debt. Corporations do it all the time. Kilmer Capital is a very prosperous Equity firm which could have easily funded hydropool. Hydropool was never in danger of closing. In these economic times everyone is looking to erase their debt anyway possible. What has transpired in these papers is something that is done everyday in the corporate world. I find it interesting that it was randomly posted by someone who has just joined and has posted nothing further as this document is not available unless you search hard for it.

  4. Your relay for the heater is stuck open. This happened to me on a bunch of lower end Cal models. The board is fine just the relay needs to be replaced. Im gonna guess the relays dont say Zettler but a name that starts with N. An electronics repair or supply shop may be able to change out that relay. No offense to the tech support people but that is the mostly always the answer for any issue.

  5. If the crack in the skimmer is where you say it is there could be an underlying problem with the pipe below pulling down on the skimmer. If that is the case the patch wont hold & its time to replace the skimmer and fix the reason why it cracked where it did.

  6. Yes in Canada there is when it comes to Bromine/ Chlorine Tabs & Specialty items like enzymes. However there is no difference in balancing chems like ph+/- Alk + & Calcium. They are what they are you can really change the formula. The tabs you get from Cdn Tire I know for a fact are pressed with extra fillers and made by a Canadian company that produces the high end chems for dealers. I come across water issues all summer & winter long with sanitizer problems when people use the lwo grade tabs most of the time they turn into mush. Depending where you are most balancing chems are the same price or cheaper than Cdn tire or Walmart. The oxy sparkle I beleive your are speaking about from Cdn Tire I have heard works but with mixed results from customerswho have used it. You can get better pricing for the non chlorine shock"refresh" by going to the pool chem section of your local dealer & buying up to an 8kg pail.

  7. That tub is not a $9600 tub the price that it is at for clearance is about the proper price for that tub. The Escape series is a mid level tub. If you look at the Cal website the spas are listed in top quality & price to lowest. The Escape series is below the Avalons but above the Victory. The Avalons are not great quality IMO and the Victory was the entry level just a couple years ago. For the price that its goin for it is a good tub but dont be fooled that you are getting "$10,000 tub" for half.

Here's the link for the tub in question for those interested http://www.calspas.com/detail_spas.asp?spaID=297

  8. Im not sayin this model is false but its kinda hard to believe that an economy priced tub would b introduced in an area of high wages. I know over 100+ people who are working in the Edmonton Fort Mac area that are pulling over 100k for about 6 months of work. I could see other parts of the country where a model like that could be introduced. A good indicator of the market in that area is to go to the Beachcomber Edmonton Store & see what their most popular model is since they usually sell in the range of 200 tubs.
