Has anyone had any dealings with a company in NY called Long Island Fiberglass Pool Company? Any feedback to offer on them?

Hi, A few questions pertaining to a salt chlorine generator. 1) What is the standard/average longevity of this type of system? I am aware it depends on the quality & usage, but just want to get an idea. Is this the system of the future where parts will always be available? 2) Does it clean & keep the water as "germ free" as regular chlorine? 3) Also, I hope there is no chance of electric shock in the pool since electrolysis is taking place. Any guidance and or feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

I am in process of buying a fiberglass pool. The pool company suggests( although not pressuring) I purchase a salt water chlorine generator instead od a regular chlorine system. Can anyone advise the actual difference and also, the pros & cons to each system. will the water be as "clean" using the salt water? any feedback is appreciated. Thanks

I am debating between a Viking and a Dolphin fiberglass pool. Can anyone advise which is the better company? I am not seeing too much of a difference between the two other than price. Any feedback regarding problems, quality, or just plain info on the difference is appreciated. Thanks

hi all, I am new to this forum, sorry if my questions will appear as naive. I am considerind a kidney shaped (10x20) fiberglass pool for my backyard. With everything involved,(pool,excavation,heater,pump& so on) what type of total expense am I looking at. How much plumbing, andany idea as to cost is involved. Also, what is involved with the excavation? Is it quite cumbersum? When I ask the salesmen involved, all I hear is "don't worry, you will be very happy". Really doesn't answer my question, nor exude any confidence in their company. Any thought, and or feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
