I have had some of these air release valve leak from panels made from Smartpool. It is put there to release trapped air in the panels so it does not bubble at the pool return. If you don't mind a few bubbles at start up replace it wit a car or plug Thanks for the info. Joe

I have a question about the check valve at the top corner (air release?) of our solar panels. It seems to be gurgling when the pump is running (we can hear it from the ground). Does this valve need to be replaced or should it make sounds under normal operation? The pool and panels are only 3 years old. Misc info, we live in Florida, check valve has D2466 on it, the pressure indicator on the filter seems to be running a little high. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Joe
