  1. The width of the concrete where the water was gushing from is 9 feet wide! What's strange is that the Polaris return is on the side of the pool opposite to where the leak appeared.... so that's why the pool tech said that's it's uncertain exactly where the break will be under the concrete. How much do the over the deck kits sell for? Do you only need to get the kit and the hose to install it, or is anything else required?
  2. I was recently losing water out of my pool. It was determined that it was due to a broken pipe. This pipe was my suction Polaris’ water line. To fix the issue, the booster pump was bypassed and the Polaris return capped off. I’ve been told it could cost $1,000 to $3,000 to fix the broken pipe since the break is located somewhere under the concrete. I’m considering switching to a robot-type pool cleaner such as the Aquabot T-Jet which could run substatially less money. Any pros and cons between the suction-based and robot-type pool cleaners? It seems like the robot-type might be more work since they need to be plugged in and put in and taken out of the pool with each use. Am I better off getting the broken pipe fixed and going back to the Polaris?
