Hello,
Thought I'd share the details on this problem...So I was finally able to get back to working on this tub this summer after waiting too long last summer on trying to find the leak and had to wait for warmer weather. The end result was taking the tub out of the deck since it's encased two feet into the deck. first was to cut the front of the deck 2x6's then get my hydraulic car jack and lift the tub then put two 6' 2 inch pvc pipe under the tub and from the other end push the tub out and secure it on blocks.(cement) then fill the tub, run it and look under to find the possible leaks, the good news was 3/4 of the foam was out of it from past repairs and me trying it last summer. found the leaks 5 in total, one the mainifold again due to water from the winter even though I vaccumed all the water and lines last summer which shows it doesn't need much water to crack a line or manifold due to cold. 4 jets were leaking 2 because of pure butcherery by the past homeowner who decided to glue with some expoxy the jets to the tub instead of spending 20.00 to screw it to a jetbody. One leak in the footwell jets due to the blue glue I guess over time giving way or having water in the lines which was not a fun one to work on definitely try to avoid water freezing the footwell jets! and a union ring which was not installed properly where the flow of water goes through behind the heater and motor. So that said the tub is up and running and everything is good oh btw about 35 cans of spray foam were needed to reinsulate the tub and lines. So to say it can be done is true, just be patient and handy and the hard work will pay off.
take care LR
