  1. The Hot Spring Jetsetter is a nice 2-3 person spa. It can run on either 110 or 220v, but I believe it runs two circuits (one 30a, the other 20a) when in 220 configuration so you would probably need a different breaker box. It is also somewhat pricey, but it very energy-efficient and has a great warranty. I just got one a few weeks ago and so far I'm very pleased. I really enjoy the Moto-Massage jet.
  2. Hi all. I just had a Hot Springs Jetsetter installed last week. I notice that when I have the SmartJet lever moved to the 3 o'clock or 9 o'clock positions (where the indents are), there is a rather loud noise coming from around the lever which seems to be the sound of rushing water. It is loud enough where I can hear it above the sound of the jets while I am laying in the lounge seat. The noise will just about disappear if I move the lever as little as an eighth turn in either direction. Unfortunately I need to keep the SmartJet lever in the 3 or 9 o'clock position to be able to use the Moto-Massage, which I enjoy a lot. The question I have is if the sound I am hearing is normal, or should I bring it to the attention of my dealer? Is there any way to lessen the noise without lessening the effectiveness of the Moto-Massage? The noise is kind of annoying. Thanks for any answers you may be able to provide.
  3. I'm replacing my old spa with a new Jetsetter. I already have a 220 line running out to the spa with a single breaker. The Jetsetter requires a different breaker box (2 breakers) which I am purchasing from the dealer. When I called my electrician to have him hook up the new spa he quoted me a price of "no more than $400". This seems kind of high to me, since all he is doing is swapping out the boxes and running wiring to the new spa - all the work is outside the house, unlike the last time when he had to run a line from the main power box in the basement. Since I am providing the new breaker box, the only materials he will be supplying is the wire from the box to the spa (maybe 15-20 feet). Does this charge seem reasonable, or should I try to negotiate a lower price? I should mention that this electrician has done quite a bit of work for me in the past, and generally charges much less than the going rate for his services (he's a union electrician who does this extra work on the side).
