  1. Folks, I'm currently renting a home that has a kidney shaped in ground concrete pool approx 10' deep. I'm renting the place and after speaking to the neighbors it seems the pool has not been in service for approx 5 yrs. so I got in the pool and cleaned and cleaned and cleaned then there was some tile that was broken and the landlord had that repaired. I then acid washed the pool and pressure washed the tile to get all the old broken grout out and then re-grouted it all so it's all water tight now. The landlord replaced the filter so I fill the pool and fire it up and all of a sudden I notice on the back side of the pool deck is getting wet... I go over to investigate and there's dirt being washed up through the brick deck right where the rear jet is in the deep end of the pool. So I shut everything down and lift out a few bricks and dig down to the pipe (black rigid pvc) and right where it goes through the concrete there is a crack in the top of the pipe it's not all the way through. I was going to cut out the break and splice in a new piece of pipe but the crack is right at the concrete and there's no way to get a splice there. The question I have is this... The jet inside the pool is concreted in... are these jets actually in 2 pieces as in... if I cut the pipe back will the center of the jet unscrew so I can pull it out and put a new piece in and then put in a new piece of PVC or is it one solid piece and if so is there a way to get the glued PVC out so I can put in a new one and splice that back into the existing good pipe in the ground? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanx, Aqua
