I'm a newbie to the pools and just set up my 10' x 30" for the kids yesterday and am waiting for the CL level to drop. I was reading thru the forums and my directions for the pool say to never run the filter when people are in the pool. I'm guessing it's an electrical safety issue.

Hi all. I found your forum while searching for info on above ground pools and it looks like an excellent resource for pool do-it-yourselfers! I recently bought a 10' above ground pool for our kids. It's a el-cheapo from a local retailer that comes as a kit. My plan was to set it up on the back patio concrete slab so we don't end up with a dead grass ring in the yard. My question is, should I set the pool up on some type of micro-foam or something to protect the bottom from the rough concrete? Any other words of wisdom would be sincerely appreciated!
