  1. So we got our spa 2 weeks ago and now some idiot kid has broke it! We have a little plastic dial that seemed to switch where the air came into the tub. Turn it one way and it directed it through the jets in the seats, turn it the other and it came through pinhole jets in the floor. This dial now just spins and spins and does nothing. It's like the idiot kid turned it until it stopped, and then forced it a bit further and it's sheered off the rest of the fitting. If we turn on the air blower now, the little plastic dial shoots in the air like a champagne cork. So, what is this bit called, and is it part of an expensive piece of kit do you think?
  2. We have a 220 gallon tub, chlorine is always low - about 0.2 ppm. I add around 12mg a day to take it up to about 5ppm but a few hours later it's back down to 0. What sort of problem do you think this is? We have only just taken delivery of the tub and we need a few other things I think. We have a foam problem which we also need to deal with and the water is slightly cloudy also - is it all linked maybe???
  3. Ok cool, the PH- I use is just plain old Sodium Bisulphate. The good news is that I got it down, it just needed a lot to get it down to around 7.5 or so. The only other problem now is Chlorine...which I will start another topic about.
  4. Hi folks, I took delivery of my hot tub 2 days ago, I now feel like I could pass a chemistry exam again! We live in a hard water area, near Brighton. I have some Aquachek strips that check for the different levels in the spa water. It always seems to indicate that PH and Total Alkalinity is off the scale and too high yet chlorine and stabilizer is fine. Is it just a case of keep hitting it with PH minus until the level drops? I must've put maybe 20mg in there over the past few days but i'm guessing that because our water is so "hard" this is why it's so high, especially as we filled the tub from the hose pipe. Advice needed! And thanks in advance!!!
