  1. After the stickiness is removed, will Fast Gloss restore the finish on the spa shell??? HAS ANYONE TRIED TO REPAIR THEIR SPA FINISH WITH THIS PRODUCT???? Thanks Ü Laurie
  2. Hi Memebers! I am still trying to solve my problem with sticky areas on my spa shell. I thought about buying Fast Gloss from Leisture Time with the hope it will restore the gloss to my spa shell. Does this stuff really work?? WHO HAS USED THIS PRODUCT??? Can I just apply Fast Gloss over the sticky areas?? Or should I scrape the stickiness away first? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Ü Laurie
  3. Hello Reeferman! Thank you for your reply! Yes, I could put pictures of the affected areas, as the problem is that it is sticky by touch, the pictures would look like a normal spa shell! That only thing you can tell visually is that the places where it is sticky does not look glossy. I am thinking about about buying Fast Gloss from Leisture Time with the hopes this might take away the stickiness and restore the gloss to my spa shell. Ü Laurie
  4. Hi Mike! Thank you for your reply! I did not have any stickers or labels on the spa shell. I just do not know what to. My fear is that the spa finish is melting away or otherwise this problem will spread to the entire spa shell. I did in the beginning use clorine powder that was made for swimming pools not for a spa to disinfect the water. (This was the first few months of use) Maybe the this was too strong for the spa shell and my gloss finish is now sticky??? A Chemical reaction? Does anyone know of an adverse reaction to a spa finish???!! I have no idea... Anyhow, I am afraid to put water into the shell and to use the spa because I do not want to make this problem worse. 5. Hello Members! I have finally realized my dream of being a spa owner, but now I have a strange problem to deal with. My acrylic spa finish is STICKY!!! This does not seem to be any sort of oil deposit on the waterline. I can scrape the stickiness off with my fingernail and create what appears to be a clear silicon like ball. It even stretches and has a silicon look and feel to it. What is this?? Does anyone know? I do not know what to do. Should I scrape it all off? The stickiness is not on the entire shell, just isolated parts of the shell. Strange enough though, that the stickiness does not appear on the parts of the shell that was immersed in water. (The spa was shut down for the winter and did not have water in it and does not have water in it yet. I wanted to fill it and now find the stickiness) I live in Germany near Berlin if the climate plays a role in this problem. The spa was winterized by a professional. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS IS AND WHAT I SHOULD DO???? Thanks a bunch, Laurie
