Hello Members!
I have finally realized my dream of being a spa owner, but now I have a strange problem to deal with. My acrylic spa finish is STICKY!!! This does not seem to be any sort of oil deposit on the waterline. I can scrape the stickiness off with my fingernail and create what appears to be a clear silicon like ball. It even stretches and has a silicon look and feel to it. What is this?? Does anyone know? I do not know what to do. Should I scrape it all off? The stickiness is not on the entire shell, just isolated parts of the shell. Strange enough though, that the stickiness does not appear on the parts of the shell that was immersed in water. (The spa was shut down for the winter and did not have water in it and does not have water in it yet. I wanted to fill it and now find the stickiness) I live in Germany near Berlin if the climate plays a role in this problem. The spa was winterized by a professional. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS IS AND WHAT I SHOULD DO???? Thanks a bunch, Laurie
