  1. My neighbor just got rid of a hot tub and asked if I want the gas heater he used for it. I currently use a solar heater system for a 30' above ground pool which doesn't really cut it. I don't have any more room to add additional solar heaters, so I was wondering if installing the gas heater and using it to supplement the solar heaters would be bad? The heater is 150,000 btu's. I'd rather not go through the trouble of running the gas line and intalling an additional outlet if it's just going to over work the heater and cause it to break or something like that. Any help would be great! Thanks! Mike
  2. 1 solar collector will probably be too small. I live in the Chicagoland area with a 30' pool and 2 was barely cutting it. You may decide you want to add one or even 2 more collectors. They work well assuming you have enough area to use enough collectors. Mike
