  1. I have an inground spa and an inground pool with separate equipment. If I am working on the pool equipment and say I stop and restart the pool pump, the strainer will fill with water once I restart the pump. Granted the return pressure from the pool is higher (pool equipment below pool level). When the spa pump runs it never displaces all of the air but no bubbles appear that I can see.

  3. I have an inground spa pump with a two speed motor. If I leave the pump on low speed, it is fine. If I turn off the pump and then turn it back on, it won't re-prime. I found that if I close the valve from the hot tub and open the strainer cover and fill it with water, then have someone start the pump and then open the valve, it works. Is this a seal problem?

  4. I did a lot of research online and came to the consensus that the Polaris 280 was the best pool cleaner. Designed differently than the 360/380. I have only been using it a couple of weeks, albeit this is the "messy" time of the year. It works well. Bought on ebay for less than $300. I would avoid Hayward. The Pentair Legend also gets high marks.
