  1. Good for you, sounds like you got a great deal!
  2. Hi Tad, I am in the Tacoma area and purchased a spa 3 weeks ago from Aqua Recs Swimming Hole...they have several stores in the Puget Sound area and sell Marquis Spas. They allowed us to Wet Test and also had several floor models to choose from (1 less now ). Great delivery and service, very nice people and we feel we got a great deal. You might try them out. We went to Olympic Hotsprings and Apollo Spa and Rich's also. Apollo had a nice salesman but their BBB Rating was nothing to write home about and ultimately was one of the things that turned us toward a different dealer. Also Arctic was a bit too powerful on the jets for us and their floor models had the older jets that popped out all the time. Anyway good luck and if you can wet test I highly recommend it Danelle
  3. Congratulations! Enjoy that first soak! Funny we also got the wrong cover for our Marquis and are awaiting the proper cover (they said we could keep both though) and we got lots of chemicals from our Spa dealer plus the test strips so that was a bonus. We have had ours 2 weeks and have used it every day
  4. SORRY!! I was having a terrible time with this site earlier and did not mean to repeat the post over and over. Next time I will assume it has posted!
  5. I tried to post earlier but I seem to have a lot of problems with this site. Anyway to answer your questions....Yes it was a 2007 floor model, blue granite shell and driftwood durashell skirting. The features it has are stainless steel jets, ozonator, constant clean, and a waterfall (no stereo but we didn't want one anyway) and it has the regular light not the LED. The price also included a cover, cover lifter, big bucket of spa chemicals, delivery and set up (they got it in place, put the cover and cover lifter on, explained the basics and threw in a few freebies ) That said the original quote was $6,999 before tax....tax is 8.6% here so we pretty much asked them to take off the tax and give us everything for $7000 out the door which they did. So the before tax cost ended up being $6433 and some change. Hope this helps and good luck on your purchase.

  10. If you are seriously considering these I would recommend what everyone else here says over and over...WET TEST!! We have a family of 6, all different heights and sizes...and until you sit in it with water you really can't tell how deep it is when filled, how big the seats are or how it feels. I am not familiar with all of these models but it is nice to have multilevel seats, we went without a lounger and also and also to have a good amount of foot room. Some hot tubs have big seats but small footwells which makes it feel very crowded with lots of people in it. Good Luck!
  11. Our Marquis Euphoria that was just installed did not come with any electrical components...you can get what you need at Home Depot or Lowes or your electrician can get the proper equipment for you.

  13. Thanks, I will post some pics after the deck gets put in around it! Right now it is not too pretty on the concrete slab next to the old patio that will all be covered by the nice big deck! Can't wait to get that phase done but the contractor is busy until May. Even so sitting in it last night at 11pm was awesome and I am still trying to figure out what took us so long to get a hot tub! Love it!!
  14. Have you checked any other dealers? Just curious, we are also in western WA and actually had our spa delivered today. We also looked at Costco as my father in law bought one there 2 years ago but decided against it as the Hot tub OC is the only available model out here and we didn't like the "dry test" and the wet test was not an option. We found a great deal on a floor model Marquis Euphoria at Aqua Recs Swimming Hole in Federal Way (they have other locations as well). The delivery and set up went great and we also feel like we got a reasonable price with some good extras thrown in. Anyway, good luck and hope you find the perfect spa for you!
  15. Our Marquis arrived today and we are so excited! Thanks to all of the great info here we feel we made a great decision and got a great deal. We got it filled up and running and are just waiting for it to get up to temp so we can use it for the first time. Everything seems to be working so far, great delivery and set up by Aqua Recs Swimming Hole (WA state). Our concrete pad was installed last week and the electrical was done by my husband and an electrician friend of ours. For all of you still searching out there the long tedious search is just about to pay off and I have a feeling it will be totally worth it!
  16. Yes, we bought a Marquis Euphoria. It was a 2007 floor model with pretty much everything except the stereo and fancy lights. We are expecting delivery this Friday. We tried the Epic also but the lounger was a little short for us and we liked the layout of the Euphoria better as we have 4 kids ages 11-15.
  17. My husband and I just purchased our first spa and wet tested HS, Tiger River, Arctic and Marquis. We are both quite tall and found the Marquis to be a great fit, since you didn't mention those I am assuming you don't have any dealers around there?? Anyway, I just wanted to mention that we were told by the Arctic dealer that the 2008 models are when they replaced the problematic jets they have had on their older tubs, so if you find one you like you will probably want to order a new one. We personally found them to be a little uncomfortable even though we were impressed with the build of the tubs. The jets were somewhat over powering (some people probably like that) and they were not recessed enough for us. Good luck I will be interested to see which you choose after wet testing.
  18. Obviously the price is one reason I went with this spa. I had my mind set on a Jacuzzi J365 for $6995 before taxes & delivery. I then looked at Google at spas and saw that many people had recommended the Marquis (which I had never heard of at that time). I then called the local Marquis dealer and he quoted me the Marquis Euphoria loaded for the same price - $6995. The more we talked about the Marquis Euphoria the more I liked it. He then said that Marquis is having a "March Madness" sale and he had ordered 3 spas at $1000 off regular price so base price loaded for the Marquis Euphoria Signature was $5995 + $150 delivery and around $450 for tax for a total of $6090. The only thing this is missing is the stereo and constellation lighting, he even upgraded the lifter to the covermate 3. The spa is ozonated and had the tube that had the bromine (and something else I cant remember in it) that unscrewed from the top and pulled out. the dealer said that it cleans automatically after you use it but I didn't get specifics, but that was one of his important points regarding the Marquis. Unfortunately the math doesn't quite add up there...it is more like $6595 with tax and delivery not $6090. I still think that is a great deal...but it made me feel a little better about the price I paid for my Euphoria which was $7000 including Tax and delivery and everything except the stereo option. Their original sale price as many have stated was $6,999, but the dealer came down an additional $600. We feel great about it and can't wait to soak...the concrete pad is being poured as I write!
  19. My husband and I are both fairly tall at 6'3" and 5'11" respectively with a teenage son that is also 6'3". We had a hard time finding the right fit and with extra seats to fit the younger tweens in the family. We did try the Caspian and it wasn't too bad. We ended up with a Marquis Euphoria which had the best feel, was deep enough and has great feeling jets. I don't know if there is a Marquis dealer in your area but we got a great deal on a floor model at $7,000 out the door including the 8.8% tax here in WA. It was also the upgraded model...only missing the stereo and lights. Good luck on your search.
  20. I forgot to add that it also had the waterfall feature as well as the constant clean and the price included delivery and setup. It sounds like this is a pretty popular tub with many happy customers which is making me feel great about my choice.
  21. I purchased a Marquis Euphoria 2007 Floor Model today for $6,433 before tax, it came with the cover lifter, chemicals, ozone, stainless steel jets, and is the blue granite/driftwood durawood skirt! I have been reading this board for 2 weeks, and want to thank everyone for all the great advice...especially to Wet Test! It made a huge difference. We tried Hotsprings, Tigerspa, Arctic and Marquis. Of course the sale didn't hurt in pushing us toward the Marquis...they actually wanted $6,999 for the sale price and we talked them down a bit more. Out of all of them we felt this one had the best feel and seating arrangement for our needs (4 kids). I am so excited to have it delivered next week!
