  1. THanks, your all so kind. It's never truly finished...I'm always finding something to add (landscape-wise) This has inspired us to build a pool as well, but we'll have to wait until the wife or I get a promotion. ;')
  2. The key to using a spa/hottub is doing activities during the day that WARRANT using the hottub. When I get sore on a daily basis (from various actities, depending on the season) I always look forward to a nice hot tub of water.
  3. The spa was finished Feb. 1st. After some blood, sweat and tears, I finished off the landscaping and it's finally grown in. Do you prefer the twilight/night pics or the daylight pics? http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p...amp;uid=2726312
  4. You're very welcome and thank you! We've used it 30 days straight since its been ready! Our sons (9 and 12) really love it too. All of us are involved in many sports so soaking sore muscles was a priority. I negotiated heavily on the price, and had two other builders competing for the same type of job (just different styles of spas) I went with the the middle-of-the-road (pricewise) bid, and I trusted this guy more. I also had an opportunity to talk to his former clients who were very happy (as am I) with his work. It is a cartridge filter. The pool builder recommended a cartridge rather than sand since this was smaller than a pool.
  5. Please keep in mind that inground pools and spas in Washington state cost an average of about 2.5 times more than, say, Florida or Texas. The reason is because our market isn't flooded with pool builders that have to really complete price-wise against each other. That said here is the price breakdown. This did not include the stamped concrete and gas fireplace: 8’ round Leisure Pools Sorrento Spa with tile · Excavation · Pool Star 2500 LED Pool Light · Pentair MasterTemp model 400 Gas Heater · ActionPak (Control Unit, Remote, 2 speed Pentair Pump, & Pentair Filter) · Test Kit · Be-Lite colored aluminum Spa Cover $16,154.00
  6. The speakers were purchase online @ http://www.partsexpress.com/ More specifically>> http://www.partsexpress.com/webpage.cfm?&a...amp;filter=rock Sure, you can pay more for a better sound, but these sound pretty darned good when you've got a nice receiver with equalizer pumping out soothing tunes. The wireless fence was a simply Malwart (Walmart) purchase. $100 and it gives you 400 feet of coverage. I don't even have it on anymore. Our pet got a small jolt and now stays at least 10 feet away from little white flags! LOL! Post pics! Would love to see it when you're done!
  7. Thank you! Lake Tapps, Washington state. Its about 700 feet elevation. 45 deg avg temp in the winter (with lots of rain) and 75 deg avg summer temperature. Skiining just 1 hour away at 6500 ft. elevation!
  8. Hello all! I've been busy since November 2007. We decided to go with an inground spa back in November. It is a Leisure fibergalss spa shell. I acted as the general contractor and had parts of this bidded out. I did all the landscaping (except sitting stone placement) myself The link below is my blog from conceptual preliminary design (which I did myself on a CAD program) to the spa as it sits today. Please read from the bottom up on the blog page http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...endID=221040276 Any questions feel free to ask.
