  1. I have bought 2 New Jacuzzi Filters from Amazon last year.(They say Jacuzzi but who knows what brand they might really be} They both came with Caps on the Top but they are removable.Just wondering would it be BEST to Glue the caps on top so they will stay on?....JT
  2. I think the Newer Jacuzzi J3XX series come with a removable twist cap on top of the filters. I have been buying Jacuzzi and other off brands of the filters with the NON removable twist cap. Just wondering if the twist caps will do any harm being off?(afraid of getting a Flow Problem with air getting in without the top being on} Thats what I thought it does not matter until the repair tech saying its best to have a NON removable top......JT
  3. I have a Jacuzzi J355 that I bought in 2004 (16 years old} Question about Filters being used,All the filters that I have used were Jacuzzi or Jacuzzi type of filters and all were screwed on and tightened at the top. But the Newer Filters have the Tops coming off,Just wondering should I just keep useing the older type of filters?Or does it not matter to use the filters with the Top coming off? Just afraid useing the Newer filters that I might get a Flow Problem and air getting into the hot tub. Thanks JT
  4. Had a Tech come out today and said that the Flo Switch was good. But need to replace the Laing 3/4B 230v circ pump for $450 with tax included I am sure I am paying atads more for the pump butttt thats what you pay when you hire a Hot Tub Tech. Think overall I will be paying around $700 buttttt he said my spa was in excellent shape being 16 years old and not trying to sell me a Flow Switch also lol.....JT
  5. Well the Flo went off for almost 2 days, but came back on. Screw the Plunger,I went to a Local repair store and they will be coming out Next Monday. I feel since its a 16 year old spa,I felt let them find whats up with the hot tub....So it will cost me atads i guess, but in the end the winter I hope will be problem free....JT
  6. Seems that the Jacuzzi has been running great and staying at 102 temp since late last night.(23 hours} I have the Cover off (that covers the filters}and afraid to put it back on thinking that the Flo will come back on.(maybe the problem is solved?} Maybe if all is working well maybe I should put the cover back on in a few days and see what happens? At least I am narrowing the problem down? Was thinking having the Jacuzzi or other Tech put on a Flo Switch and Heat Sensor in if problem comes back.Thanks....JT
  7. Hi alllll I have had my Jacuzzi J-355 since 2004 and really had no trouble. A few days ago my Spa was showing a FLO and a temp of 78 (I had it on at 104}I called somebody local and he said it had to be a Flo Pump and would cost around $450 (Just the pump}And he was telling me that these pumps go all the time. But by speaking to him I felt he might be ripping me off with out seeing the spa..I call a Jacuzzi dealer about 45 mins from me but they said that they cannot get to the spa for another 3 weeks. But the lady was very helpful, she said to shut off all the power to the unit and take off all the filters and use a Plunger to get the Air out off the system.{I am using New Filters}Seems to work great after I did every thing she told me too do.12 hours later the Flo popped up again.I shut off the electric again and took off the filters and Plunger it again, and it works great for 6 hours till the Flo came back on..Last night before going to sleep I redid everything I did before and 15 hours later the spa is working great NO Flo error.....Maybe because I did not use the snap on Cover that covers the filters I left off?If thats the case maybe there might still be a FLO problem with the cover on?What would you good folks do?And for now I am keeping the Filter Cover off....................JT
  8. Thanks Eric..... The spa for the past few hours look good, not losing any water.. drain cap is secure as always was. tech just came out put water in my spa and saw no leak...... I am sure if most of you good spa owners saw you have lost half of you water in the spa,you would have done the same as me.... Shut the power to the spa and call the tech...... Yes many said I should have opened the front panel,,,,but I feel if it was at least 300 gallion,it would not matter because water would be all over the place...lollllll............. I guess this will be one unanswered question as to where the water went...........JT
  9. Nope I got home and the spa was filled........ Now I have put Chemicals into the spa for the last hour and it sure looks full...... I think I did right. I am sure if most of you spa owners saw your spa with less then half of the water in it,you would also worry a tad.And maybe call and have someone to come by to fix the problem..... I just cannot believe losing soooooo much water and now the spa works fine..... I think its like going to a denist. You have a tooth ache and when you get there its gone.... Same with my spa lol......JT
  10. Geeeeee the guy came by today while I was not at home to fix the spa.. I came home and on the invoice it said that my spa was about half full and he could not find a leak at all..... So I was charged the $100 service call and another one for $60 for labor....... I don't mind paying the $100 but what was I surposed to do when I see half or more of the water gone????I am calling the owner tomorrow about the labor........ But the spa is not leaking now any w wondering why or how can I lose about 300 gallions with 2 hours and not see any leakage around the spa?????Hummmm JT
  11. Yep I guess I was being a tad nice...... But they called me up and they are sending a guy to fix it tomorrow(Friday} I am sure losing 300 gallions of water would be all over my concrete Slab or melting the snow off of the slab????? 300 gallions is a lot of water and I am sure its nowhere inside the spa lol..... Funny no sign of the water anywhere outside of the spa..........Thanks allllll JT
  12. Thanks for yeaaa help,,,the spa is under warrenty But is sooooo strange that within 2 hours that I lost 90% of the water.... Yes I am sure its a leak. But its also funny that there is no water on my Slab next to the spa.... And since there in snow off of the slab I would think that the 103 degree temp water from the spa would have melted some snow..... Wellllllll I don't think anyone will be able to come by till next week from where I bought it from. Hope nothing else breaks.....I really hated to shut the power off on the spa,but i am glad I found out about it sooner then later.....JT
  13. Hey all I wanted to use my 4 yaer old Jacuzzi J-355 spa. for the big snow storm tonight... Its 27 degrees outside........ Anyway I put some chemicals into it so I would be ready later tonight... The temp on the spa said 103 and the spa was filled up.... Anyway I was about to close the cover and I seen most of my water in the spa gone... I would say more the 3/4 of it is gone.... I was looking around my spa to see if there was any leaks around my spa...... I could not see any water going into the snow thats near the spa off of the concrete slab....You would thing 300 gallions I would see some on my slab or melting the snow off of the slab..... Its funny losing so much water within 2 hours....... Do you good folks think I have a leak lol... Maybe a pipe broke inside or maybe the shell is cracked????? Tomorrow I will look to see if I have a crack since its a tad dark.... I hate to shut my spa off in the high 20s outside tonight with no power on........JohnnyT
