Hi, I'm new to the forum and was wondering if anyone out there has some advice for my wife and I? We have an older in-ground pool/spa built in 1978. The spa heater recently froze and the headers cracked. Instead of paying over 2K on a new spa heater, we have decided to buy a stand alone spa. We would like to knock out the wall between the spa and the pool and fill in the spa (up to the step level on the pool). This would provide a nice, shallow lounging area in the pool and we won't have to worry about standing water getting stagnent in the old spa. Has anyone had any experience with this? My wife and I are trying to do some research before we call out pool companies. Thanks so much for your help and advice.
