If you use dichlor as both a sanitizer and a shocker, don't you get way to much free chlorine after shocking?

Hi. I'm new to this site and looking for info on keeping my spa water the cleanesst and bacteria free. I use Calcium Hypochlorite to sanitize and shock my spa. It seems that nobody on the Forums uses Calcium Hypochlorite. Why is that?
