  1. Thanks for the reply Nortnarg, got a bit of foam on top as well now but don't like keep putting different chemicals in every few days, seem to think the water will become saturated in chemicals and you will struggle to get clear again having to carry out a water change to put it right more often....wot do you think? Regards Gash
  2. Sorry posted this yesterday in the wrong forum.... question for you...do you shock after every session or not?? Had a Tub party couple of nights ago and next morning woke to find a hell of a lot of scum around the water line and pillows etc... i had only shocked the tub 2 days prior and thought this was only carried out once a week, but thought what the hell and gave it a double dose, the water last night was the best yet, so my question as above..is this ok give to give say a half dose after every session or does anybody know of a reason why i shoudn't. Currently using Bromine tablets as sanitizer! Thanks Gash

  4. The tub is wired directly into the main box, what your both saying sounds plausible... as im typing just received this back from Balboa... "Without knowing the specific Balboa system which is in the spa its hard to say for sure. The ML200 panel can be used on multiple systems and each system has its own aperage requirements and operation parameters. That being said, it does sound as though your system is working correctly and we do have many systems that are set to only heat with low speed to stay within the amp rating of the GFCI. Your system may have an option to operate more than just the low speed of pump one with the heater but I would need to know the exact Balboa system that is in your controller to know if that option is avaliable. Also, depending on the GFCI the installer of your spa put in, setting the higher amp setting may be to much for the GFCI to handle. If you have any further questions you can conact our tech support dept at 800-645-3201 Mon-Thurs 7am to 4 pm and from 7 am to 3 pm on Fridays. PST. Thank you. " Think i will need to get back in touch with the showroom where i got it, but having contacted them twice regarding this with no reply, i am getting rather frustrated with their after sales service. Thanks for your help in replying swiftly, will keep you updated.
  5. Hi all, first post so please be gentle with me.. I have just purchased a Spaform hot tub with a Balboa ML200 control panel fitted, unfortunately the showroom cannot seem to help me with this question.... When starting the Jets 2 function (single 2 speed pump) the temperature light goes out and stops heating the spa even if at 3c or 4c under the set point, this is the case with the blower as well!! This continues for as long as you have the jets 2 or blower function on, if you go back down to jets 1 the heater kicks in after precisely 2 minutes. So if you are in the spa on a very cold night you have to have only the jets 1 function running to heat the water, which deminishes the enjoyment of the spa due to not being able to have the relaxing/theraputic jets of speed 2! Is this the normal running conditions of the hot tub? Thanks Gash (UK)
