i was way off on my last post. i ended up buying a used 6 person keys spa. looks great, used less than a year. Can you believe lowes and home depot near my house do not carry a 50 amp ground fault breaker. i had to buy it online. anyway. i am a new spa owner and had some questions. i took the side panels off and was wondering if i can beef up the insulation around the tub itself, it currently has the foam spray on type. any problems with overheating, etc. i can see that there will still be some airflow on the corners of the tub case. also this has an ozonator. the guy i bought the tub from said his buddy doesnt use chemicals at all and just replaces the water every 3 months. can i cut back on chemicals or get rid of them alltogether. ps the spa is going outside on a patio in western NC (snow in the winter). also should i put a tarp over it for extra protection. i saw that outside hot tub covers last about 3 -4 years and then need replaced. quite an expense. a $10 tarp over the cover is cheap and keeps the weather and sun off.
thanks
