The aux jack is an input jack and is located inside the stereo compartment. I am very happy with the optima, the foot mound may get in the way a little bit when moving from one side of the spa to the other, but the benefit of having the foot jets, for me anyway, far out weight the inconvenience. As per regrets, just the price, but if you want one of the best, your going to pay for it. I do wish the diverter valves were a little less noisy, but they aren't bad either. I do wish you could control the air flow of the blower, but that probably a topic for a different thread.

Just to follow up, mine did charge. Course i just had it in the dock, without the stereo actually turned on.

I know this reply is probably 4 months too late, but maybe you'll get the reply, and if not maybe it will help others with the same question, just like you and i had: Can you turn off the light in the ipod dock on the sundance spas. Well neither the dealer nor the manufacturer (sundance) could help me, so i found out who made the light controller and emailed them. SUCCESS!!! (ps, i purchased the external corner LED lights, which includes a photocell, so the external lights turn off durring the day) Here's the reply i got from them: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There is a "Mode" that allows your exterior lights to be turned off. (including the iPOD Dock). By default, after power is applied your exterior lights are on Purple (Blue/Red), by pressing and holding the top side control "Mode" button for 5 seconds, you can change the exterior default colors to any of the standard modes. On the end of the list, there is an "OFF" mode which will turn off the exterior lights. Please note, the exterior lights must be ON mode (Interior OFF) in order for you set the default mode. This means you must either by hold your hand over the photocell, do this at night, or remove the photocell (an OPEN connection will turn them ON, a closed connection will turn them OFF). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So if you don't have the external corner led lights, with all interior lights off, just press and hold the mode button on the light panel (the one that has 3 buttons), the mode button is the one in the middle, press and hold for 5 seconds, check to see if ipod dock light is off, if not press and hold mode for 5 seconds and check ipod light again, keep doing this until the light is off, it can take up to 10 times. Also the light will turn back on when you have the interior lights on, but the lights off setting is remembered, so it will turn back off when the interior lights are off. Also there are some other hidden light features/modes with this lights controller. With your interior lights turned on, press and hold the mode button for 5 seconds.

I have a sundance Optima with ipod and mine charges in the dock in the spa. At least it says it is. I have an ipod video, i let it discharge most of the day, so that the battery icon in the top right of the ipod screen wasn't all the way green, and when i pluged it in to the spa dock the lightning bolt appeared on the battery icon, indicating that it was charging. I'll check it in about an hour and see if actually did charge. I'll let ya know. Ps, i have a 2007 model spa, got it about a month ago. Also the dealer did tell me that the dock does not charge the ipod, and that it used to but they changed it so that it didn't because they were having problems with it. Who knows if that's actually true or not, i might just have one of the ipod controllers for the spa that hadn't been changed.
