  1. I am getting my foundation poured this week. Once that is done, I will turn my attention to purchasing a spa. I am also waiting for the CA state fair. I understand that is when the dealers discount their tubs. My short list includes the Caldera Moorea, Sundance Bahia, and Tiger River Caspian. I wet tested all three. Leaning towards the Moorea and Bahia. I believe a fair price for the Bahia is $6,000 and for the Moorea $6,600. Any comparables out there? I delayed purchasing so far, becauase I feel like the dealer may be asking too much. The dealer is asking $6800 for the BAhia and $7500 for the Moorea. Also, I have a good size family. My wife and 5 kids. The kids are all young and small. Anyone else have these same or similar sized tubs? Is there room enough? Thanks for any info.
  2. I wet tested the HS Tiger River Caldera, the HS Vista, Sundance Optima and Bahia, and Caldera Moorea. The Bahia and Moorea, I think, are comprable spas. The Moorea does have a lounge. From reading other posts, the Bahia seems to go for around $6,000. Out of the spas I wet tested, the Bahia and Moorea did the job for me. I like the Moorea a little bette. Still trying to find out what others paid for the Moorea. Good luck with you search. Take the advice of this forum and wet test. I did and found some less expensive tubs that I liked better than their more expensive sister tubs.
  3. For all my research, I think the Bahia should go for around $6,000. I have seen people post saying they paid as little as $5,600 and as high as $6,800. I don't know about the other two spas. I wet tested the Bahia. I also wet tested the Moorea. Between the two, the Moorea in my opinion won by a slight margin. Right now I am trying to figure out how much to pay for the Moorea.
  4. I wet tested the Optima and Bahia. Minus the aromatherapy, the Bahia held its own. As far as the aromatherapy, I wonder if it wouldn't be a distraction. But that would be a personal choice. The Bahia goes for much less, and I think, give you a very comprable experience. I also tested the Caldera Moorea. This one has a lounge. I didn't think I would like a lounge, but this louge worked for me. I like the Moorea better than the Optima and Bahia. But no by too much.
  5. Thank you for the information on the Bahia. That same tub is on my short list. I think 6,000 is in the ball park. If I can't get the Moorea dealer to come down some, I might just be getting a Bahia. Anyone out there have pricing on the Moorea? Just want to get some comps so I can get an idea of what I should be paying.
  6. I wet tested the Moorea. Very nice. I am consider purchasing that same model. I am reasearching prices. If you don't mind could you share with us how much you paid. Thanks
  7. I am shopping form my first spa. I have read the various post and have already wet tested three spas. The Tiger River Caspian, Caldera Moorea and Sundance Bahia. I prefer the Moorea over the other two. I am trying to research a fair price for the Moorea and as a back-up the Bahia. This is where I need your help. From the previous posts I have read, it looks like $5,600 is a common number. There is not much information on the Moorea. The dealer quoted me $7500 for the Moorea. I belive that to be too high. If I am comparing similiar spas, the Moorea should b priced closer to the Bahia (I realize the Moorea is a lounge. A a better comparison would be the Hawaiian. The Hawaiian wasn't available to wet test, and I liked the lounge in the Moorea). So first off, is $5,600 the correct price point for the Bahia? Second, is the Moorea a comprable tub? Third, if not, what should I expect a fair price for the Moorea? Thanks in advance.
