  1. Just purchased a Jacuzzi J470, Tested both the Optima and J470 but in the end was able to find a 2013 floor model never been wet. Really like the features lights etc.., both were great but could not pass up the reduced rate of the J470 Just hope the Quality and reliability is there like a sundance or hot spring, guess we shall see. I am replacing my Arctic Tundra which was nothing but trouble.
  2. Seemed odd to me as well that they will not honor their regular warranty I guess due to the reduced price???? Since I would be paying $5000+ which I assume covers their costs not sure why they would skimp on their warranty. Guess I will need to follow up.
  3. Original Cost was appx $10,000 and now it is around 12,000 I would estimate. The warranty on the replacement would only be 1 year vs the standard dealer warranty. Any thoughts
  4. Update: Took pictures sent to Arctic they offered to replace my tub with a brand new one for $4800 plus shipping (no cover/lifter or delivery). So I would pay shipping (likely 500 + electric hook up + need to move old one out and new on in) I can switch cover and lifter from current spa to this new one or.... There is no Arctic Dealer near my area so service/repair in the future may be an issue as well. I can purchase a hot spring or sundance for 9000+
  5. It sits on a paver block patio that had extra compacted rock/sand etc to withstand/specifically designed to hold the hot tub I purchased..
  6. Artic Spas dealer I bought from went out of business in my area. Artic Corporate stated that it was a few months past warranty when I contacted them. Of course this did not happen overnight so it would have started within the Warranty. They stated to take pictures and they will determine what, if anything that they will do. There are cracks in the shell as well as blisters and I believe that is likely where the leaking is coming from.
  7. I am not a hot tub expert so take this for what it is worth: I had several small cracks in my hot tub shell so I tried "Fix a Leak". You add it directly into your hot tub while filled with water. I was losing a lot more water that 1/3 of a bucket, I had to add water to the tub about every 2 days. It has been a month now and have had the the tub is no longer leaking. I used the product let it cure for a day and then emptied and refilled the tub and all was fixed.
  8. I have an aquatremo on my tub and it had issues at the top side connection point. it broke and was replaced within the first year and lasted 1 more year
  9. thanks I sent an email to Arctic Spas and will follow up with a phone call tomorrow. I will let the forum know if they rectify this. A bit disappointing in such an expensive Hot tub.
  10. Have had several issues with this spa over the years: Now the spa shell is blistering and leaking.
  11. I have a Artic tundra 2 years old and have had the a black rubber like substance in the water fall as well as a black film on the shell at the water line, it appear to be related to the rubber. Dealer is no longer around (illinois) and I am conerned about getting this fixed will need to call Artic direct? Help. I have used Artic chemincals only with mineral stick per dealer reccomendations
  12. I have the Aqua tremor and have to say I would NOT reccommend it for anyone thinking about buying the spa with it. Although you can feel the vibrations of the music it is very difficult using the IPOD (even at full voulume) to hear the music in every seat of the tub with the pumps on. For $900 I would expect more. I think you would be better off with the $400 stereo option or just using outdoor speakers from another source. Anyone else have this?
  13. For a Grandee with delivery included and lifter 8950 in chicagoland.
  14. We are really enjoying the Arctic Apa. Well water as source hasn't been a problem yet. We are supposed to get the tub we ordered next week and they are going to move the water from old tub to the new tub. Wondering if this is a good idea or not?
  15. I have responded to this customer in a PM. Thanks Tom, I took filter out and it was not dirty put it back in and all is fine. I did have a pleated one for first 24 hours with defence and than replaced with the microfilter.
  16. I have well water also, I filled from hose with a prefilter on the end and added a metal out product (Arctic Best Defence) and than started filtration and shocked 24 hours later. No issues with discolored water, it was "milky" at first and than cleared up.
  17. when I press pump 1 and hold to go into boost mode it first displays "FLO" and than the normal BOO for boost mode? The spa is 5 days old.
  18. Thanks for your replys. The music system cost $900 (expensive I know). Should get the tub next week waiting on paver patio installation and winter is approaching....... I hope I do not have any water issues as I am on well water and it has a lot of iron content.
  19. In chicagoland about 3 weeks ago we were just offered price of $8950 for a Grandee with set up etc... We ended up buying an Artic based on wet testing the two tubs, we liked the Grandee, Sundance Optima also but ended up with Artic Tundra.
  20. It is a free pool table. The promo is buy a spa and get a $1500 pool table which includes a player pack. In addition since the tub will arrive after thanksgiving he is giving a loaner tub and setting it up until the one we order arrives.
  21. Just purchased the Arctic Tundra Ultra after wet testing it and the HS Grandee and Sundance Optima. I liked the Sundance Optima equal to Arctic but liked Arctic dealer better. Price 10,200 includes cover, lifter, forever floor, flex cabinet, steps, artic ozone deluxe northern lights, delivery/set up, starter kit, and Aqua Tremor Music system (plus special promo for pool table included) Anything I need to know or reccomend for starting this tub? Anyone that owns one how is longterm reliability, seems like a well built tub? Is this an ok price? Thanks
