  1. Boy, my post has really been hijacked I've been to two other dealers now. One was Marquis and I fell in love with the look of the Marquis Envy II. They've got it for only $2995 so I was suprised that I could buy from a dealer for that price. I also went to Apollo Spas which I guess is more of a local manufacturer here in washington. I'm a little hesitant on the quality of the Apollo since they don't seem to be nationwide or have much of a reputation that I can find. Plus the Apollo salesman seemed hesitant to arrange a wet test. We've decided we'll probably wait for spring for both monetary reasons and to give us time to finish some other projects we're in the middle of and get ready for the installation of a hot tub. I'm also curious about the Nordic crown I've heard about but haven't made it to the dealer yet.
  2. Thanks for the tips so far. I never thought of buying a used one from the dealer. There's several other dealers that I need to check out, one of which is the local Nordic dealer. The Nordic Sport looks interesting but I'm worried it won't be comfortable because it seems to have only bench seating? Is that right? As far as the other details, in reality we are looking for a spa that will comfortably seat 2. The 2 seaters seem way too small to me though, the 4 seater seems the more comfortable size. Also, we're in eastern washington so we do get a little snow. I'm not sure at what point you need to be worried more about insulation.
  3. Hello all. I found this site a while back and have been reading it to try to find out more info, although there seems to be alot! I went to one dealer to look and was shocked by the prices and the sleezy salesman feel of the place. We don't need a huge spa and from what I saw at that dealer, a 4 person is just about the size we want. They don't seem to be too popular and I don't see them as often as the larger ones though. Anyways, this will be our first spa and our house is kind of a starter house, I don't see us staying here forever. For that reason, I would prefer to get a budget buy on the spa since it will be our "starter spa" and will stay with the house when we eventually move. I know lots of people insist that you need to buy at a dealer but I just can't see paying that price when it probably won't be a real long term spa for us. I found that Sam's Club is carrying a 4 person spa called the Maui Paradise for $1680. I don't know anything about the brands really at this point though so I'm wondering on others opinions. Also is there another good brand/place to buy a budget spa in this size? Thanks!
