  1. On the back of the motor there is a switch for high or low voltage It was set on low ...I switched it to high and problem solved, no more blown fuse. I am happy again
  2. a short should trip the breaker I would think. I am 99% sure the motor I have is to many amps and is overdrawing blowing the fuse. Is there such a thing as a 1/2 hp motor ?
  3. Hi I own a whirlpool spa purchased in 1999. Model # h850000 serial # p5881 It is wired 240 V and has 2 pumps. Last year one of the pumps had a leak at the seal. I had the pump rebuilt with a new motor. The new motor is 1 hp. The problem is the second you turn on the power the 20 amp fuse is blowing out. I have read enough stateing that the only thing that should blow that fuse is the motor. Last year when trying to get a replacement pump I remember being told the pump/ motor was 1/2 hp. Is this possible ? The guy who replaced the motor seemed to think it was 1 hp but did not seem sure. Again this is an older whirlpool spa. If it is in fact supposed to be a 1/2 hp motor and is currently using a 1 hp motor is this alone enough to blow the 20 amp fuse ? any help is much appretiated. Thanks
  4. I am blowing the fuse on the circuit board of my jacuzzi. It is a 20amp fuse. The jacuzzi has power and the pumps also have power. I hit the button for the jets to come on and they work for about a second, spit water out, and the fuse blows. Any idea's what the problem could be? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Dave
