  1. Hey did you ever fix this? If so was it as simple as the fuse? I am having literally the exact same issue, same pumps, same errors etc.
  2. Well, When I used to live at my parents house that was definitely a problem, the jets were very loud and noisy so we had to crank the TV. On my spa the jets are actually about 1/2 of what their noise level was, so while we do have to turn it up a tad bit more than normal we dont have to blast it. Also what i have done is taken a mono feed out of my TV / Reciever and plugged it into the aux input of the stereo on my spa, so the tv volume is pumped right beside our heads to the spa speakers. Works great!!!!
  3. Hello, Just my two cents but My Spa is indoors and we have a full stereo / TV etc basically right beside it. We run a dehumidifier sometimes and have absolutely no problems. Also my parents have Virtually the same thing for over 10 years and they have no problems (at least with the electronic euiptment) I love to sit in the tub and watch football or just basic TV. i am not an outdoors person and love the comfort & privacy of being inside. We have a tile floor so water is not a concern. Of course getting in and out gets a little water on the floor but more water gets on the floor from taking the cover off. Still once again not a big deal. Anyway I hope that helps.
  4. Hey, thanx alot for the responses. The Spa is in our basement, we figured since it was already concrete we could just lay tile over it and bring it in. It was a pain tearing out the door frame but the basement was unfinished at the time . We are not to much for the outdoors and would hate running out in the snow and rain etc. We are located in Maryland so weather can sometimes be a pain in winter.
  5. Thanx alot, Its a Clearwater Cabo Signature. Weve had it hooked up for a couple months but we finally finished the rest of the basement. I know they are not very well liked here on the forums but so far so good.
  6. Ok Finally after 3 months I got my Spa in. Here are some photos.
  7. The Temp in my house is ususally at 75 or so. We leave the cover on all the time we are not using it. At first I was a little concerned but after I started to think about it, this means my heater will never run and my circ pump will run about 16 hours out of a 24 hour period. My electric bill shouldnt increase to much at all. In the warmer months if i remove the cover also for a few hours the heat should also decline a little bit. I called a fewe places and asked if my water quality would go down with not running hte circ pump non stop and people seemed to think it would not unless I started running it really short periods like 8 out of 24 hours.
  8. I was having the same problem with my tub. It is a clearwater and I have only had it hooked up for about 3 weeks. I would set my temp at 90 and it would live at 103. It is indoors so cold is not a factor. Turns out the tub came set with a circ pump that ran 24 hours a day which was keeping the tub hotter than I set the temp. I called the company and they told me how to reprogram it to run only as much as I wanted it to. Now the temp maintains right around where I set it.
  9. Hello, I recently got a spa and hooked it up about 2 weeks ago. It is inside my home and my temerature in the house stays around 75 degrees. The spa has a few different modes such as standard, economy etc. When I am in standard mode i can set my spa at pretty much any temperature and the heat seems to creep up gradually to 103 / 104, If i put the spa is Economy mode the temp stays closer to accurate of what I have it set to but still creeps up. The only way I can seem to get the temp down is if I take the cover off and leave it in economy mode. What i am looking to find out is, is that normal for an inside spa? or do you guys think I have a thermostat issue? Can the pumps itself be heating the spa for the cycling period when the pumps run? Any info is appreciated.
  10. Thanx for the info. Unfortunately I have yet to hook my spa up. I think it will be early next week. We are re doing the entire basement and have to lay the tile before putting the spa in place. . I will be so happy when I can get it, The Spa has just been sitting for a month. How long did the jets take to deteriorate?
  11. Also, Is there any techs here in the Washington DC area? I am going to need my electric ran, first off I dont really know how, second I am way to busy. I have the diagram and it looks easy but I just dont want to take any chances. I will need a 60 amp breaker. That is what the dealer said. What should this cost me? The tub is going about 20 feet from my box all in the house.
  12. No. all the spas has water in them and were heated. They had about 30 on display with water. Nice big place.
  13. Ok i got the spa today, it will be delivered very soon. I will let you know how much the winter costs for heating are. I feel good about the purchase, and after sitting in about 5 other brands i still feel the clearwater felt leaps and bounds better than any other brand I sat in. Some of the other brands we tested were marquis, LA Spas, Nordic, sarotoga. The place we went to was huge. Only time will tell now if it holds up. I tried to overlook the lights / bells and whistles and just focus on Feel. I have no clue on the inside contruction etc but If i can get 10 years or more I will feel its worth it.
  14. My mother had an LA spa for 13 years before it had any problems, after that it had quite a few. Electric panel went bad, and then 2 leaks. It was actually putting a light shock into the water. most people they talked to said that was very rare. Fixing the leaks was a pain because they had the Blown in insulation and at $100 an hour tearing insulation out is no fun. Other than that the first 13 years were great.
  15. Thanx for the info. Tomorrow morning I will make the purchase. The only negative is I have to wait a little less than month to have it delivered and set up since I have to wait for my basement to be finished. Thanx again
