Gulf Coast is toast, my "Dealer" is no where to be found (Southeast Factory Direct Calgary), and NOW I'm getting a flow error = "rh nf".
Filters are new, jets are all on, tub is full and checked for trapped air. Unions have been tightened at the pump to prevent air migration.
I started getting the code every once in a while, now it appears every time I run the tub.
I think the flow is OK and pump sounds OK.
My Spa Services (Gulf Coasts tech support) and the on-line trouble-shooting tool indicate to replace the heater.
Gecko said it will honour warranty but I will have to send them my heater to them for testing. They will not help trouble-shoot over the phone as they only deal with dealers (no exceptions). I have to pay for shipping, plus their time for testing the unit. I'm sure everything will be fine in their "lab" and it will be sent back to me with a bill of $150 after many weeks of not having my spa.
Three questions:
Is there anything that I have overlooked regarding troubleshooting?
Is there any tech experience out there indicating that it is most likely a faulty heater (history of trouble with these)?
Should I avoid Gecko - suck it up - and just buy a new heater for $320 delivered to my house in a matter of days?
