The pool is cloudy-green, as in green throughout the entire length, breadth and depth of the pool.
At the shallow end, I was able to just about see the bottom of the pool, but then it got worse and I can't even see the bottom of the pump now. Where the water is deepest, the pool is a deeper green.
We beleive that the chlorine we were trying to use as a shock treatment was the wrong type - it stated that it was shock chlorine treatment, but it contained chlorine stabaliser. As a result, when I tried using it, the chlorine levels remained high for days.
We have just got some more shock chlorine treatment, without stabliser (CYA?). Looking on the pool maker's website, they suggested using 10g/1cubic meter - but we were then told to use more like 300g / 1 cubic meter by the pool store. This is quite a difference!
Any ideas? We're about to put a LOT of chlorine into this pool ....
By the way - we are based in the south of France, if that makes any difference!
