  1. SPA GUY, I have a hot springs dealer, who also sells hot spot, solana, and tiger river, The Jacuzzi guy just sells Jacuzzi, the Sundance dealer sells sundance and Garden Leisure, only 3 dealers in a 140 mile area. also will have to check on that tax deduction issue, might be....
  2. I just acquired a Burlington for $5120 + tax (purchased 12/09, but is the new 2010 model) delivery included. I also purchased a pool at the same time, but the deals were made on the pool side of the cost (Free solar cover, free winter cover, free liner upgrade, free salt, free aqua bug) I think your local dealers are in cahoots and padding their prices. While I didn't get any extras beyond start up chemicals, I didn't want any anyway. The tub is set next to a raised deck on which I will build a bench/counter, so I didn't need steps. I may look into getting a cover lift, but think I am going to simply build a ramp structure off the side to slide the cover onto when I want to remove it completey. Either way will cost significantly less than the extra $1000 your dealers are wanting. I was originally looking at the Hawthorne myself, but decided it was too big. Seems to me it quoted out at around $6200. Maybe your dealer was looking at the wrong price. John Hey John, that was a great deal, I can get a Burlington in W Monroe, LA at the Sundance dealership for a "sale" price of $6199 plus tax. would really love to get a deal like yours, I love the burlington...how do you like it? What about the foot therapy? Hubby has bad feet, (heel spurs, achilles tendonitis) and they give him fits....they showed me the brochure with the price written on top of each spa page,,,it said $6199.00 plus tax.
  3. hey spisam, I am looking at the SolanaTX right now, want it so bad, tell me about it, you have had it about 2 weeks, what do you think about it? Do you love it/hate it? What about the strength of the water flow? Is is comfortable for 2? Does the water get and stay the right temp for you? of all I have looked at, this one seems "perfect" for us. I dry tested it and it fit me perfect, let me know what you think about it now.
  4. I really want that solanaTX, I dry tested it and it fit me perfect. Dealer has water in the larger hot springs tub, but not the small TX. $1000 off right now, regular $5000.00 now $4000.00 with cover, chemicals and delivery. Do any of you have it and if so what do you like/dislike about it? Since it has bucket seats and not lounger, it shouldn't make us float up, also with just back jets and foot jet it should be a strong enough flow HUH??? I am new here and want to make right decision. I only worry about the warranty, not being as long as the Sundance, hot springs and jacuzzi, but the price is lower also, and I am having enough trouble talking hubby into letting me get one. I will be lucky if he says I can have the solanatx for $4000.00. The local dealer would service it, so hopefully if I can get it, it will not be a lemon, and last me for a long time.
  5. wow,,,that guy wasn't being truthful with me was he? I thought it was a good spa since it was on "how things are made" I guess I won't be getting it, hubby wouldn't let me have it anyway. glad ya'll are here and being truthful.
  6. Just talked to a sales rep from Master Spas in Florida, he said they have a twilight series that is made by master spa that has just EXACTLY what I am looking for in a small spa. Has neck and shoulder jets and a master blaster for the feet, also calf jets and foot jets in a lounger for hubby. Is a tad bigger than the Solana TX, has a better warranty and more jets. Price was good also, the same as the Solana TX sale price. and that is having it shipped here to me in Louisiana, cause there are no dealers here yet, I asked about service and they have service folks all over the US, just not dealers everywhere yet. do any of ya'll know anything about this spa? is has 220 wiring, which is what I want. I want to be able to run pump and heater at the same time. decisions, decisions...I saw master spas on "how its made" on tV and was very impressed with their factory.
  7. I just bought a Solana TX after much research and comments from members of the board. It fits perfectly in my small space. We found the tub very comfortable and the jets strong. I love the moto-massage. Nanette likes the other seat with the 8 jets. The foot jet is pretty cool as well. With water, the spa feels much larger than it is. I paid $3400 for the Solana TX which included the cover, step, chemicals, ozonator, delivery and instalation. There was no cost for an electrician since we simply plugged it in to the dedicated outside receptacle. I have back issues so my doctor gave me a script for a theraputic spa. As a result I did not have to pay a sales tax. I live in Delray Beach Florida and the dealers here want to sell spas. Try to have your dealer lower the price or sweeten the deal with an ozonator or more chemicals or other goodies you may see in his showroom. The dealer here originally wanted 5000.00 for the solana TX and it was marked down to 4000.00. people here just will not budge on the price of a spa. they are not selling many, but I guess they don't really want to sell, cause they sure won't deal. We live in a rural area of Louisiana and the nearest spa town is 50 miles away and there are only 3 store there, they sell hot springs/solana/hot spot, sundance / garden leisure and Jacuzzi. I have never seen more folks not willing to haggle about the price, its very frustrating. they ALL want to sell their top of the line spas, I just cannot afford that, my hubby doesn't even want me to get one. I am ready to give up
  8. Well, today I took the plunge into a dry hot tub! HA!!!!! was so excited that my Saints won that I just dove in!!! Us LA folks are crazy anyway and after the superbowl win last night, things are getting crazier down here in the Fleur de lis state! I sat in the Solana TX and absolutely LOVED it...not many jets, but loved the way it felt, it fit my body. wish it had water in it, but if it had I might still be sitting there in it!! Then I sat in the Jetsetter, it was OK, but wasn't as comfortble as the solana TX. of course, the warranty is much longer and better on the Jetsetter, Solana tx was on sale for 4000.00 the jetsetter is 6000.00 each are marked as being 1000.00 off regular price. hubby still says no. maybe i should get the solana...only worries me cause with him and me both in it might be crowded, we are short but heavier. any suggestions? also started weight watchers today, maybe I'll lose this extra 30 lbs and will not have crowding issues.,
  9. you know, I looked at the small spa online a few minutes ago from Hot springs, and Jacuzzi and Sundance, I love them, the salespeople always try to talk me out of them, they do not have them in the store, but say they are tiny, I don't believe that, I think they just want to sell the bigger more expensive ones., I am not gonna be able to get the more expensive one, so I am gonna get a 2-3 person one, either hot springs, jacuzzi or sundance, (all local stores with local repair) if hubby doesn't want to get in it with me, then I will be in it alone, but free of this horrible fibromyalgia pain, a smaller spa will be cheaper to operate also, my mind is made up, thanks so much!! I will be able to get a spa, and a deck to put it on for less than the cost of the larger spa. (I didn't want a large spa anyway, the salespeople wanted me to buy the larger spa)
  10. I love the blue,,,just is so relaxing, pretty blue water,,,,ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, with the darker outside cabinet. BUT, that off white pearl color is gorgeous, just don't know about water staining it...
  11. Just looked at an Island Escape, love triangle, looks really neat, $2999.00, which is less than half price of sundance spa and it will be free shipping and no tax. I am scared of online ordering, but I really want a hot tub and hubby will probably go for this one anyone know anything about it? scares me cause I believe you get what you pay for!
  12. thank you, I will take a look at it..
  13. I am very frustrated, I need some hot water therapy for my fibromyalgia and hubby is NOT fond of the idea of spending $6200.00 plus tax for a Sundance burlington. I would love to get it for lower price also, but they aren't gonna budge. We live in an area that has 3 spa dealers and they all are determined to stay on the sticker price. all are at least $5000.00 (round spa from Sundance) Is the little triangle spa from sams a "decent" little spa? Its only $2500 right now, looks like it has few jets,,,no foot jets which we need, but at this point I am desperate. Don't want to buy a piece of junk, but he is not gonna let me spend the money I want to spend on a good spa...I just want to be neck deep in hot water so I won't hurt anymore. this little spa actually looks pretty roomy for 2. We will never have more than the two of us in the spa. would love to find a roomy spa for 2-3 traingle type at a decent price, any suggestions?
  14. they are only letting a cover and start up chemicals come with that price, no 2009 models available, they will not budge,,,wondering about the jacuzzi j230 it looks nice enough online and might be cheaper,,,,we are gonna have to build a deck, pour a concrete pad and I want a roof on the deck for use when it rains. husband is having a fit about the price, I think it would be worth it, but he is concerned about plopping down that much cash for a hot tub. I hurt so bad I am ready to pay ANYTHING for relief!!you'd think that paying cash they would come off a little bit.
  15. Hi ya'll, I live in Northeast Louisiana, GEAUX SAINTS!!!!!! sorry, had to throw that in for super bowl tomorrow,,,, i am in the market for a hot tub, looking at the Burlington by Sundance quoted at $6199.00, the J335 by Jacuzzi, quoted at $7000.00 plus tax of 10% these hot tubs are not feature laden, and not large by any means,,,,,but they will NOT budge on the price and will NOT throw any extras in...the hot springs (can't remember what model) was 7800.00 I wanted a smaller tub for just hubby and I, we are both heavier, but short, like the sundance cause of the one lounger for hubby, he has achilles tendonitis, arthritis and I have fibromyalgia and arthritis. WAnted a 3 person tub but don't want to feel crowded so that is why we were looking at the 5-6 person spas,,,we want good strong jets, especially on the feet (hubby has heel spurs also)have 3 spa stores near here, and they each will not budge on prices,,,if they would come down a little or throw in ozone or something else good I might feel better about the purchase, but they act like I am getting a deal.. am I at that price??????? want something reliable,,,help me please,,,,,,,,,,,,,
