  1. Hello. Trying to find a list of part numbers for a 2012 Hot Spot Rhythm. Can't find one searching as of yet. Thanks.
  2. Who knows what's in the Enhanced Shock? SpaGuard and the MSDS don't say. And you may have to use less of the Chlorinating Concentrate which would cost less per use. As you indicated earlier, and the Taylor website says, "to achieve accurate readings for combined chlorine the MPS interference had to be eliminated." Since I already have the other reagents in the Taylor kit you mentioned, I am going to order some of the deox, R-0687, and then run a combined chlorine test. If I am still getting high CC after that, I may give the Chlorinating Concentrate a shot. And for the record, I am glad I got a Taylor kit as suggested on the forum. I use strips only for quick checks. Thanks. I am still learning, and your input has been very helpful.
  3. Uh-oh. Because i'm a newbie (October - Hot Spot Rhythm)? And because the dealer only left me with SpaGuard Enhanced Shock? Using the Taylor kit, I have been able to keep FC levels correct with the product. So I should get something like SpaGuard Chlorinating Concentrate instead? If so, when should I use the Enhanced Shock? The tub came with a silver ion cartridge. FWIW, the Enhanced Shock costs less than the Chlorinating Conentrate. Thanks.
  4. Remember about how much oxyclean? We buy it buy the bucket for washing clothes.
  5. Research has left me confused. I regularly use SpaGuard Enhanced Shock to keep free chlorine between 3-5 ppm. Is combined chlorine something I have to be overly concerned with using this product? I am using a Taylor kit to measure, and a combined reading today was 3.2. Of course, I am making sure pH level (7.4) is okay beforehand.
  6. I have had good luck with SpaGuard Enhanced Shock. I use about 2-3 teaspoons for daily use. Don't know if that's abnormal or not.
  7. Not a lot at all. They gave us a quote, and I made a counter-offer of 2k less, then they dropped 1k off the original quote, with accessories, chemicals, and set up, and we accepted. A nice part of it is that we bought in Texas just across the line from us, so we did not have to pay sales tax.
  8. Got a Hot Spot Rhythm about a month ago in east Texas for a little less than 6K delivered, with chemicals, lifter, and steps included. So far we are very pleased with it. Sounds like you might want to check into some Silk Balance which is more of a weekly treatment regime. A bottle came with ours. Can't tell you yet about electricity. Good luck.
  9. My tub is on a brick patio right next to the house. I simply ran some THWN wire through some liquid tite conduit (and connectors) from the sub panel to the tub. All available at HD or Lowe's, Be sure and get some green THWN for your ground if you go this way. No problems, and inexpensive.
  10. I know this is an old thread, but in case someone else comes across it, it is my understanding that 303 Aerospace Protectant is non-silicone. Silicone based products should not be used on vinyl: http://www.rhtubs.com/info/cover-care.htm That said, I use Klasse Cleaner/ Protectant on my cars and spa cover. It is non-silicone, and works great: http://www.autogeek.net/klasvinleatr.html
  11. FWIW, I just hooked up a new Hot Spot Rhythm. It went "dead" on me, and resetting the GFCI on and off did not help. However, manual says for a blinking Ready light to turn off the GFCI for at least 30 seconds. Works now. Good luck!
  12. Hello. I am a newbie with a new Rhythm spa. I have looked and looked, but I am still confused by the filter cycles. The manual is not clear either. It is my understanding that F1 is for the first 12 hours, and F2 is for the second 12 hours (?). What I don't understand is the setting for "desired filter cycle time, from 0 to 6 hours." I know how to adjust the cycle time, but for what time period? What does that mean, "from 0 to 6 hours"? Does that mean the spa is running (filtering) for 6 hours if 6 is used? Thanks.
