UMC Musicman Posted December 12, 2014 Report Share Posted December 12, 2014 I have a 16X32 inground, powered with a Hayward Northstar. A few days ago the pump made an obnoxiously loud "humming" noise on start-up and went silent. I have replaced the starter capacitor, it now runs. However, it is still very noisy as it runs.
