Greenhorn
Yes, I am a greenhorn. I have a hot tub coming in 4 days, and we have never owned one before. I have been reading this site for the last 3 days, and learning a ton. Thank you to the folks that have spent the time to post all the information on water chemistry for us. I have a family of 5, and we are getting a Jacuzzi J375. The plan is to use this hot tub every day. I noticed that the "pinned threads" are 3-5 years old. Have there been any "new" and "easier" ways to sanitize a hot tub, or are the chlorine and bromine methods still the best? If you are an experienced tubber, what method would you use? I am leaning toward the bromine method. One question for the bromine method, Step 4 mentions a "floater"? If someone could point me in the right direction on a good one, that would be great.
