  1. I have an inground indoor pool with Aquaspeed 1.5hp pump. This runs 24/7 and is costing me a fortune, especially as I hardly use the pool. The issue is how long the pump should run for (the pool is covered when not in use). If the answer to this question is anything less than 24/7 then my concern is this: If I put the pump on a timer, then when it goes off, there will be no suction on the inlet pipe (bringing the water towards the pump from the pool), and hence I wonder whether I thus also need an auto closing/opening valve (to go just before the pump) that closes when the pump turns off. In that way, no suction would be lost, and when the pump starts again (and the valve opens) full suction power will remain. Any ideas please anyone? Many thanks Daisy
