Hi all, New to the forums, and also new to hot tubs. As I was reading my initial fill guide from Dynasty Spas, I accidentally put 4 ounces of Oxidizer instead of 2 ounces like it calls for into the hot tub. For some reason I though I had the Scale Defense in my hands at the time which asks for 4 ounces. Anyway, what issues will this cause, and do I need to dump all the water in my hot tub and start over, or is it not that big of a deal? Thanks
Is there anyone using bulk Chlorinating Granules (Sodium dichlor-s triazinterione 99%) and Oxidizer (chlorine-free oxidizer) (Potassium peroxymonosulfate 42.8% ) chemicals like GLB,Pro Guard ,or in swim ? Every chemical place I call tells me they are not the same as spa chemicals but the chemical percent are the same. I have a Calspa with an acrylic shell.
I am looking for information on the relative pros and cons of using different oxidizers in conjunction with a 2-step bromine program. From what I understand, bleach (chlorine), diclor, or MPS can all be used. Is this correct? Are there any advantages and disadvantages of using each of these? Thanks
