  1. I live in the Raleigh, NC area. I own a Marquis Signature Series Resort and its approx. 4 years old. Recently, we noticed water leaking out of the air intake pipe in the corner. We had a local spa technician come in for $90 and he diagnosed it and told us that its related to plumbing and is covered under warranty. We called the local dealer and they confirmed that it is covered under warranty. Here is the rub. The dealer claims that we are only covered for $60/hour and the dealer's charges are $90/hour and hence we need to pay for the difference. No where in the warranty does it say a fixed dollar amount. Here is the excerpt from the warranty contract: "Marquis Corp. will provide parts and labor (according to predetermined schedule) at no charge to repair or replace components that fail due to manufacturing defects. Responding authorized Marquis® dealer may charge additional service and travel fees." Link to the entire contract here if anyone is interested. http://www.marquissp.../MQWarranty.pdf The dealer also said they will charge a flat fee of $25 because we are 20 miles away. This is on top of the $30/hour I need to pay. The questions I have are: 1. Is this normal in the spa warranty service business? Or am I dealing with a dealer that is not so consumer friendly? 2. It looks like in order to confirm this with Marquis, I need to write them a letter in mail. Thats right, no phone number or email. Link below supporting this fact. http://www.marquisspas.com/service.asp Any advice is appreciated!
