I opened my pool late this season only to find the pool with only 3 feet of water in the deep end and the vinyl liner separated from the coping. Two of the separations are about 15 inches long. One of them is at the corner of the deep end. I'm unable to reattach either as I usually do heating the liner with a heat gun and pushing the edge into the coping with a tool. Does the liner need to be replaced or is there some other methods that might work to reattach?
Also, I had the pool checked for leaks and there were none. I was told this cause of the empty pool and subsequent liner separation was rising ground water after some heavy rains. Even if I am successful reattaching the liner, I'm concerned big rains and a rising water table will again cause the same problem though this is the first time since I've owned the pool (10 years) this has happened.
Many thanks in advance for any sage counsel.
