  1. A hydrostatic valve is a lightly spring loaded valve that lets ground water enter the pool should the water level in the pool drop lower than the ground water level outside the pool. This keeps the pool from floating. Periodically, they should be replaced as the gaskets in them dry out and the can cause leaks.

 I am still in confusion

  2. The pool water:

    1. PH is 7.4,

    2. Chlorine Cl is 1.5

    3. Pressure when sand filter is backwashed and Restarted the pump, will be 13PSI in the sand filter gauge. And at the outlets, the pressure(force of water) will be good

    4. Pressure after the recirculating pump runs for about 3 hours will be 22PSI in Sand filter pressure gauge. And at the outlets, the pressure will drop considerably.

When sand filter is put in circulation(by pass), then there is no drop at the outlets. WORKING FINE.

The problem not able to trouble shoot is The drop of pressure at the water outlet after 3 hours of recirculating pump run.

Tried Even after increasing the Sand in the sandfilter.

Tried decreasing the sand in the Sand filter,

Tried even after replacing sand filter.

  3. i have 1.5HP pump, 750mm diameter sand filter. When i startup pump i wil give good pressure at the pool water inlet. Once after running 1 hour, the pressure of the water at inlets is reduced. I tried after reducing some sand in a sandfilter, but the problem is not solved. Still it is the same.

Can any body suggust me how to trouble shoot this problem.

  4. I understand that around 28PSI is more than enough to detect leakage. But in one of my site, Consultant is asking to charge pressure in the piping to 72.5PSI(5bars)(test to underground pipes only, filters are not connected to the system yet). To show him that 72.5PSI test is useless, i am in search of some standards.
