  1. they are only letting a cover and start up chemicals come with that price, no 2009 models available, they will not budge,,,wondering about the jacuzzi j230 it looks nice enough online and might be cheaper,,,,we are gonna have to build a deck, pour a concrete pad and I want a roof on the deck for use when it rains. husband is having a fit about the price, I think it would be worth it, but he is concerned about plopping down that much cash for a hot tub. I hurt so bad I am ready to pay ANYTHING for relief!!you'd think that paying cash they would come off a little bit.

I don't know anything about Jacuzzi. My husband is balking about the costs too. The pad for ours is going to be $600, electrical is $750 (mainly because our electrical box is in the basement and the basement has a finished fixed ceiling). Haven't gotten the quote for the decking yet, but I'm hoping its less than $2,000 for a small Trex!

  2. Wow, that stinks. I am in NJ and the dealers here automatically include stairs, cover, coverlifter, ozonator and chemicals. We looked at Hot Spring and Sundance. Do any of your dealers have 2009 floor models they want to clear out? We are getting a 2009 Sundance Hartford for $5995 with all of the above included. Hot springs was more pricey, but they do have a new line called Hot Spot coming out that seems more economical ($4995 for the Tempo).

Good luck, sounds like some soaking would be good therapy for you two!

Also, good luck with the Super Bowl :D

  3. Opinions are good! Sundance does make a pretty good hot tub too, so it's not like you can go completely wrong there. I imagine the OP (Original Poster) can talk to their local Hot Spring dealer on the pricing end of things and see if they can or are willing to be more competitive. Not like it hurts to ask.

Not sure what you sell them for but while I like the Caspian 9300 is high (especially when the Bengal is 7300 and even though its smaller thats a big difference within the same product line). Do you have the the new Hot Spots he mentioned (or pics)?

The hot spots are on the hot spring website, but the new ones are called Tempo and Relay. I can try to attach the sell sheets she sent me later if you're interested.

  4. I did a quick search and wasn't able to find the info I was looking for.

-Tub 1 Hot Spot Tempo has a floating weir ring - 65sqft

-Tub 2 Sundance Hartford has a flapping weir - (2) 45 sqft filters

Both dealers claim theirs is a better filtration system and that the other brand will let dirty water back into my tub! Help!!

Someone's playing up their weir versus another? Maybe there is a reason this hasn't been covered. If they both have a weir I'd skip this.

Are you saying this is a non-issue as long as it has a weir?

  5. Dealer 1 has 2009 680 series Hawthorne and Hartford for ~$6000

Dealer 2 has Tiger River Caspian for $9300 and Bengal for $7300, sh also gave me some new info on Hot Spot Tempo and Relay ($5 and 6K respectively)

Dealer 1 is telling me that Hartford is comparable with Caspian and dealer 2 is telling me that caspian is a much better tub and that Tempo compares with Hartford

Can someone help me figure this out? The specs on the Tempo look similar to the Hartford, but the tub looks cheaper. The Caspian looks more comparable to the Hartford to me, like dealer 1 said, but I'm a newbie!
