  1. We got bids from a few different builders. I did an apples-to-apples comparison as much as possible. Went back to them and had some things clarified or changed.

In the end we went with the builder we were most comfortable with and gave us the best deal for our money right off the bat. I dislike the notion of the builder padding their price by 15% just to "discount" it later.

  2. We just got a few of these last week. We need more, but just lucked into 6 of them at a great price. I can't attest yet to how well they work because we need probably 8-10 more rings.

    For your other questions...

We stack them in the shade when we take them off

No, they are inflated and they just stay that way

No problems with the blowing off the pool

Yes, they stick together. We throw them on and let them work out the magnet thing on their own

Very easy to put on and take off. My 9 year old does it.

  3. I have heard of Paramount and Lyon financial.. are there any other pool financing companies that are better than the rest or that have the best rates?

What is considered a good pool rate these days?

We financed our pool with the bank that holds our mortgage. They did a construction loan for us.

  4. I can't say for sure what is the best, but I can tell you what worked for me.

I just looked at the Konfidence suits (never heard of them) and I wouldn't use it at first. It doesn't appear to have any way of stopping the child from tipping forward, so until they can balance on their own, they will be forever falling over.

What I used when my daughter was a toddler was a suit that had basically an inntertube built into it. It gave her freedom, when she jumped in it popped her right back up, and unless she was really trying it kept her from going face forward. If you get a suit like this, keep it out of the heat. We went through at least one suit a season - the rubber dries out and eventually will stop holding air.

I've noticed a couple different kinds of the suit I am talking about are available now. The one I had was a full suit. I saw one the other day that was just the top part of the suit - an innertube with a fabric cover and arm/head holes. If it had a crotch strap I would be more comfortable with it. It seems like it would be easy to slip out of.

The suit like the Konfidence ones - we had something similar after the inntertube suit but by that time we were moving onto swim lessons and water wings.

  5. You're coming back 2 years later to be ugly to people?

A few pointers... you're is a contraction for "you are". That would be the word you want to use rather than "your"

This sentence: Quit patting yourself on the back, Trust me one pool or 100 it not that difficult!

should read: Quit patting yourself on the back. Trust me, one pool or 100, it's not that difficult!

If you want to tell people off, you would do better to not make yourself look like an idiot in the process. HTH
