Hi .... new to this web site. My husband & I are in the process of trying to decide on a new pool heater. We purchased a home with a gunite inground 23 X 36' pool (starts at 3' and quickly drops to 9' deep) kidney shaped built in 1972 (pool still in great shape). The pool is currently barely heated by a solar heater however. We are thinking a heat pump due to sky rocketing gas prices. However, at most we will probably not be in this house more than 4-5 years. Would love to know the best heater to install being cost conscious and yet something that will definately warm the water so our kids and their friends aren't always cold (like last summer). We live in N. Carolina. Want a heater that is low maintenance and is reliable. Would love as much advise as possible. Thanks in advance!
