  1. Is there a reliable test kit on the market (specifically for salt water pools) that would be highly recommended for home owners easy to use) that want to maintain a good balance. Any information will be gratefully received. Also i would appreciate any advice given with regards salt pools as i'm a newbie with salt water. Thanks, Paul.
  2. Just had a reply from a PVC supplier and he forwarded me information about a PVC fitting that will work. So this is for anyone else who comes across the same situation as me. Do a search for p/n 429-2010 it's called a waterway fitting (also know as an extender. There is also one for the 1.5" fitting. But before i order the part, i will use the method given by Pool clown, as this seems the logical thing to do. http://flexpvc.com/cart/agora.cgi?product=PVC-Fitting-Extenders many thanks.
  3. Thank you "Pool clown" for a speedy reply, and one i can relate to. I will let you know of my findings. PS: There are no PVC fittings available (to fit over the 2" coupling) to do what i wanted originally (checked with PVC manufacturers)
  4. I recently purchased a Jandy flopro VS pump and will be installing it myself. Now before i install the new pump, i have seen a problem with the PVC fittings (as shown in pic) I'm referring to the PVC pipe/fittings after the never-lube valve, that leads to the pump. Now i can clearly see this will be an issue Because there is no 2" pipe i can connect to (i.e using a coupling) and i'm pretty sure there is not a fitting that will go over (bushing) the 2" coupling and reduce down to a 2" fitting. If this is not possible, what action should i take? Thanks in advance. Sorry about picture quality, but you get the idea.
