  1. Just go to a local Leslies they will have the impeller in stock! Superglue will not hold maybe some epoxy or sorts but the impellors are only $30.
  2. This is an easy one. Hacksaw off pole leave a few inches to grab. Drill out the wood. It is just wood. you may need a large drill bit but eventually it will just come out or be drilled out.
  3. Do you hear the motor turning or is it just getting hot? The pumps are pretty simple you can switch out the motor from a place like electricmotorwarehouse.com for cheap money. To test if its the motor you need to spin the shaft. I would get a mallet and give the side of the motor a few whacks. Otherwise you basically unbolt the pump from the motor and turn it by hand. If it is froze up you need a motor. the impeller may have broken off the motor? or you may have just lost suction. hole in the return lines does this. I hope this helps!
  4. Well I already did it. The 20" was useless. I really needed a diamond pad but the kids where sick of waiting. I used a 12" floor brusher and it worked out kinda well. It is still rough but I have not had any complaints just yet. It would have worked nicely with a fine or medium grit pad but I tried burninging pads and they just shreaded and made a mess. Oh well next year I will pebbletec the pool and call it a day.
  5. Currently my pool is about 85% drained as we had the tile done. It was falling off and we didn't have anymore so we changed it all out. I had 3 companies and the tile guy look at the marcite all of them said it was good for 2-3 more years but they would replace it if I wanted. The issue I have is my kids all get swimmers toe or so they call it. The surface of the bottom is very rough. My orignal thought was to take a grinder and smooth the surface. They all told me it would work but it is going to take forever. 1 company said they would smooth it for $1000 or remarcite the pool for $3300. So my idea is this. I have a 20" floor polisher and I figured I would pick up a diamond buffing pad for marble or stone and give it a smoothing. Has anyone tried this?
  6. What did you switch to? We are having similar issues with soft soak.
  7. We have been using softsoak for about a year. I never noticed the ring until last week as we just started back up our tub after a few years. I figured it was because of previously using well water in the tub. It is interesting to hear I am not the only one with an oily ring around the tub. What is that gunk anyways?
