Well, I'm really confused. My spa dealer told me to NOT add PH down. It would just add to the problem. He suggests to use "Spa Defender". I had to scrub like crazy to get that sandpaper film off of the tub. About a week later it has came back. What in the crap is going on. Is my dealer stupid or what?

At the time I really liked the value I was getting. If I had it to do over I would have gotten the vinyl sides instead of the wood. Just bought filters today....$40 each ouch! I have owned it for 4 years now....The fiber optic lights have went out once. That's about the only problem I have had....knock on wood!

Got in the hot tub today and the entire unerwater surface feels like sandpaper. What is this and how can I remove it? I did notice a high ph level so added some ph down.
