  1. I wanted to replace everything for possible air leak. I just got done replumbing and installed new pentair 3way valves. I just got some of the rain or shine pvc cement. I tried to put a "sand bag" over the drains but still water was coming out didn't want to mess with it anymore so just applied a lot to the dry coupling and installed it really fast because of the water coming out of the pipe. Everything seems to be holding up well and no air leaks! Went from a Mytilus tank 80sq ft to a Pentair 100sq ft tank and running at 8 PSI vs 15-20 with the old tank.
  2. Pool is almost 30 years old, I tried removing the cover in the spill over spa drain and its stuck pretty good. I would only assume the deep end drain also stuck.
  3. I will be installing a new cartridge filter tank and at the same time going to be replumbing all the pipes. I've been having small air bubbles coming into the pump baset and suspect it is one of the 3way valves (they're old jandy valves thats never been lubed.) I will be digging the pipe underground so I can install all new pipes with couplers. My question is if I cut the pipes below water level will there be water gushing out? If so, what is the proper way of preventing this? I was thinking of putting some plastic and a sandbag of some sort over the main drains inside the pool. Thanks. Karl
