  1. Thanks for the reply Pool Clown. We bought this heater used about 5 years ago and the thermostat controls never worked from day 1. This was never an issue for us as we just turn it on when we wanted it on and turn it off when the pool was warm enough. I will try that though and see what happens and report back.
  2. Hi all, I have a Raypak Versa 135 WG-N heater that just recently stopped working. The pilot light is on but the main burner will not light. I have done a thorough cleaning of the area around the burner, tapped the pilot assembly to dislodge anything that might have been in there. The pilot does stay lit and it appears to have a strong flame that is blue in color. The pool has been vacuumed, filter backwashed and rinsed and both the skimmer basket and the pump basket are clean. The pressure coming out of the pool jet seems the same that it has always been. I tried using a jumper wire across the heater pressure switch with no change. If I put a jumper wire on the TH terminal and the TH-TP terminal the gas valve will open and the burner will ignite. If I do this the Heater/Spa switch doesn't have to be on for the burner to ignite. Any ideas as what to do as I certainly don't want to have to leave the jumper wire on whenever we want the heater on? Thanks in advance for any replies.
  3. Hi all, I have done a search but couldn't find the info I was looking for. We have an older, about 11 years old, agp pool that we were thinking of switching over to swg. My main concern is what it would do to our gas heater. Salt and metal don't play well together in the best of times so I am thinking that with the salt water in contact with the thin metal in a heat exchanger of a 7 year old gas heater it would not be good. I am not sure what type of metal the baffles in the heat exchanger are made of. Anyone with specific knowledge about this issue? I don't want to go ahead with the swg if it is gonna ruin the heater. We live in Ontario, Canada so we need the heater. Thanks for any replies to this post.
