  1. I just took off the cover or access door of the wood cabinet to look at the pump/motor so I could try to get a new wet end. All I did was to look at it and maybe pecked on it a little bit. There were no water drips that I seen. Should I take the drain plugs out of the wet end to see if there is anything in the pump? thanks RB
  2. Ok heres an update my hot tub kicked out 2 or 3 times on Wed. nite, I took the cover off to look at pump to see what it is. Since that time it has not kicked out the OH code 1 time. What would make this an intermittent problem ? thanks for help
  3. There is a tag on the motor that says Calspas Model # PL390 , Ser # 33870299, Code # 311, Model # PUUMSC2502582F could any of these be what I would need? thanks ,
  4. I would assume that nothing else would be restricting the flow of water there are no valves in line, unless something could have gotten in the lines somehow and made its way to the pump or just partially blocking the flow. How can I find out what kind of pump [ wet end ] that I would need to get to replace mine ? It can be unbolted from the electic motor which has mod # and Ser # on it but there are no markings on the wet end. thanks for your help RB
  5. How do you super clean a filter? I put a new filter in on Sunday the 12th, it worked fine till tuesday it tripped 3 or 4 times since early tuesday morning and has tripped this morn [ wed ]. I will have to wait till better weather to take the cabinet apart and see what I can find, I am beginning to thinks it may be the motor or pump whatever it is called. Where is the best place to buy a motor? thanks RB
  6. My motor works in the low speed as it always has, it comes on when water is heating or when I turn it on, everything about the spa seems to work like it should to the best of my knowledge. I wonder how long the filter should last when I put a new one in ? We don't use the spa very much and there is only my wife and I. My dealer told me it was hard to clean the filters to replace them. I am starting to think maybe I am doing something wrong with chemicals or something that is clogging the filters up. The spa has been doing fine with no filter in it for the last week but it has also been pretty cold outside if that makes any difference. thanks for help
  7. I asked a spa dealer about this problem and he told me it was the motor, I find that hard to believe but maybe it is. Does anyone have any ideas?
  8. I have a Cal-Spas v-500 hot tub that I bought new in 2003. It has been shutting itself down with the OH error code which means overheated sometimes it might do this 3 or 4 times in 24 hrs. I have to push one of the buttons to reset so it will start heating again, I checked the temp of water and it is very close to the display setting of 100 degrees. Last Sunday I took the filter out and since that time it has only kicked out one time, The filter is not that old only been used a couple of months, The spa does not have a heavy user load, and this problem started last winter. We only have water in it during the cold weather. It is inside a enclosed deck with no heat or insulation. Does anyone have any ideas what might be wrong with spa? thanks
