estrella Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 My husband and I have been looking for a spa, this is quite a task since he is 6'6" and 300+ lbs. We are limited to the spas in our area which we have narrowed down to LA and D1 (maybe). Basically we have found that the LA spa fits pretty nice in the corner seat for him. There is a dealer who has recently signed up with D1 and they are going to be getting in some of the D1 spas in a couple of weeks. It looks like the ajustable neck unit would be a big plus for us. Any others out there who have tried this one on for size? I am leaning toward the LA spa because of the excellent price and I really like the dealer which i understand is very important. However, i have not been able to find any reviews on this tub at all. Any opinions would be helpful. Quote
fisrt timer Posted April 3, 2006 Report Posted April 3, 2006 I just ordered a 2006 LA spa HEET model with the 3-(5hp) pumps, 61 jets, LED lighting, ss jets and the ultr water management system. I am 6'-1" and fit nicely however the esteem is the model that is built for even taller people than I am. I loved the LA spa. A great tub with excellend build quality, design and value. I couldnt beat it. I wet tested and found it to be the most comfortable to me. However, make sure that you wet test if you have not. While I may sound like I am trying to pitch this company, I have a great respect for many other brands and the idea of finding what is right for you. If you tested the LA and liked it, you like the dealer and the price then go for it. I will be giving a complete review of my new tub after recieving it. I especially like the full foam but the floor was structurally supported and not relying on foam, the ABS sealed bottom, the seperate 24 hour recirculation pump, foot jets like the master blaster, larger deep massaging jets, grab handles molded in and the easy filtering method. What model are you looking at? I tested the D1 (chairman2 and one other model) but was very un-impressed and on top of that it was alot more expensive. Estrella, what area are you in? Quote
