lgl
Anyone know if there are some sort of transparent spa covers? to be used to cover a spa that is placed indoor (and when you will see the spa everytime you enter the bathroom). any ideas of an alternative to the rather booring standard spa cover that comes with most spa? obviously it will have to isolate, but still look good.. Transparency and insulation don't go together. We try and try with glass for windows in our house and we can't do so good. They loose more heat than any other place in our house. We seem to be able to seal doors better. However there are clear floating bubble blankets but you can't see through them to good and they don't insulate very well either. I know in Star Trek III they used transparent aluminum to create a holding pen for the humpback whales but I'm not sure that has hit the market yet. Chas
A piece of Acrylic 3/4" thick would work: you don' have a lot of snow, ice and cold wind in a bathroom. But, the thing would be covered with condensation on the underside for the most part.
Guzz
You could get a custom cover that would blend into the colors of your bathroom. Try www.rhtubs.com or google, spa covers.
