Having our Artic Spa hot tub delivered in a few weeks, and wanted to find out if anyone has any suggestions for location of where they would recommend the tub be located. In a new house, backyard is completely wide open, no grass yet even. If anyone has any picture's they have of where there tub is located with landscaping as well to give us ideas, that would be much appreciated. We live in Ottawa, Ontario and so we know we don't want it located to far from the patio door especially in the winter. :)

Thanks for your comments !

Mike and Jill,

You only have a few weeks so the plan needs to come together soon. That said, we were in your shoes over the past month. Our original plan had our tub design 35 feet from where it ended up. (We decided that farthest from neighbors view was the best).

We're in the same cold climate as you...Maine, USA and ended up deciding that if we placed our tub behind an existing deck the deck would give us privacy from the road and a small fence would give us privacy from the neighbors. It also allows us to be close to our kitchen door so that when winter arrives we'll be fairly close to the door.

Our suggestion is this, walk the grounds, consider privacy issues and explore the pros and cons of each location.

Have fun,

Darren and Laura

I would plan on privacy being the most important factor, people can't help but look if they can see you in or near a hot tub. I lost all my photos recently when my lap top needed a rest. Otherwise I'd post a pic.
